True Sparkle Antonio Santos When we finally lock eyes with the God of the universe and realize His majesty, we see ourselves for who we truly are: His glorious creation. All ideas and lofty personal opinions fade in the midst of the consuming love mentioned in Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” It doesn’t matter who we were prior to the moment we locked eyes. The moment His kindness led us into easy repentance. The moment we knew true love existed. The moment the veil came off our eyes. What matters now is that we are His and He is washing us pure. He has made us holy and righteous by his blood and we have been adopted as children of God. Nothing compares, nothing satisfies, and nothing can make us look away. We are fixated on the realest moment we’ve ever lived. A moment with Jesus.
The title is “True Sparkle” referencing Genesis 15:5 “And he brought him outside and said, ‘Look toward heaven, and number the stars, if you are able to number them.’ Then he said to him, ‘so shall your offspring be.’” The sparkle in your eyes is when the promise becomes personal. We’ve become one of the promised stars. We are now children of faith. We become one with Jesus and one with this dynamic eternal story known as the gospel.
