Revealed Glory

"Show me Your face, Lord."
While praying and asking the Lord what to paint for Sunday, I felt the weight of shame. It hadn’t been a fruitful week, and I even debated whether I should paint at all. I chose instead to be authentic with my team, sharing what I was struggling with, and then simply sat before the Lord—still unsure if I would paint.
As we sang about Jesus, I began to see His face through what looked like layers of white veils. With each veil removed, His face became more clear. At the same time, I saw Him as Creator — His face made of clouds and light. This painting is my best attempt to depict what I saw, using only three colors. It was holy. Much of it I painted while the canvas lay flat on the floor, encountering Him for myself.
It became a Sunday full of tears. The birds represent both the Creator and the sending out of His messengers. As I painted, I found myself whistling, and with every whistle, I imagined another messenger being sent out for His glory.
2 Corinthians 3:18
"And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit."
